This will not be a detailed build as I have done in the past with the HyperLIGHT’s but more of just for show. 

The Ultra is what I decided to tag my personal designs with standing for Ultimate Engineered. Plus I like Ultra beer and it just seem to fit. LOL
This is one of my personal designs that I had started cad work on some time ago. I broke away on this design and others to get a coupleof the HyperLITE’s available. Once they were complete it was time to blow the dust off the old Edge cad work and make some changes to what I had started with sometime ago.

I designed the Edge around the DA150cc. It has a span of 122” and estimated weight of35lbs. give or take a few grams. This will be a good weight for the 150cc. I also designed fuse to be fitted with Pipes. I’ll be using RE3’s.
The fuse structure is different than the typical designs that you see of most kits. Yes it is tab construction for a faster build but you will notice the upper and lower fuse wood is inlaid to fuse sides. This I feel gives a more locked in and stronger assembly. I am also using several species of wood depending on where I wanted added strength.

I went with a foam belly but designed to look more like the scale Edge structure instead of the composite smooth appearance. The wings, stabs, hatch and TD are also foam sheeted.
